"I think so, honey," I replied. "Give me a minute while I go back to the house and get what I need."
What I got at the house looked exactly like one of those small pen lights you see around, only this one, instead of having a clear lens, had a ruby red lens. When turned on, it emits a red glow instead of regular colored light.
I came back to the beech and had my granddaughter sit on the ground close by me while I turned on my little pen light and, holding the tip an inch or so above the bee sting, I played the light back and forth over the reddened area for perhaps two or three minutes at most.
"It feels better already, Grandpa," she said, and with that, she jumped up and began to play with her brother and cousins again.
I checked her about an hour or so later. The swelling was down, the color of her skin was normalizing, and the pain was completely gone. Miraculous!!
I suppose you can get one of these pen lasers anywhere, but I get mine from ClearwaterHerbs.com |
