Colloidal Silver the Natural Antibiotic |
Here is a bit of magic that certainly would be in my little black bag! Whenever anyone asks me, "Is there such a thing as a natural antibiotic?", I always tell them about colloidal silver. People are tired of having unpleasant side effects from drugs. They are concerned about developing 'bacterial resistance'. And they get "sticker shock" when they go to pay for the prescription at the drugstore. Long before the drug companies started marketing antibiotics, doctors all over the world relied on colloidal silver to stop infections of all kinds. No, it doesn't cure everything, but then, neither do prescription antibiotics. Here's what to look for: Colloidal Silver is made in different strengths, scaled in parts per million (ppm). Smaller is better here. If you have a choice, get 3 to 5 ppm. It is not more effective to get 10ppm or 15ppm - just more expensive. HERE'S HOW TO TAKE IT You should have it in a dropper bottle. I recommend my patients take 2-3 DROPPERS FULL (whatever comes out when you squeeze the dropper and let it draw up the liquid equals 1 dropper full). Put the liquid under your tongue and let it remain for about 45 seconds. Then swallow. Do this 4 to 6 times daily when infection is present, and continue for several days after infection is gone. If you'd rather, you can put 2-3 droppers full in an ounce or two of water, and sip this slowly. Colloidal silver is best when used fresh. I would not use it if it is older than a few months. If you have not used it before, then the first time you try it I suggest you buy some at a good health food store.
If you use colloidal silver and find it effective, you can purchase instruments via the Internet for around $70.00 (Sota Instruments (800)224-0242 makes a great unit). and make fresh solutions whenever you need it. This will be much less expensive than buying it by the bottle every time you or someone in your family gets sick. And unless you start making it in great quantities to sell to your friends, one instrument and the silver rods that come with it will last for many years. As I mentioned, colloidal silver does not work in every situation for everyone, but in the literature, it is credited with being able to kill more than 600 different germs, including viruses. It is my first choice, especially for patients who have already developed sensitivities to antibiotics. It does not cause the development of resistant strains of organisms, like MRSA (methacilin-resistant Staph aureus) because it smothers them, robs them of oxygen, without triggering a defense mechanism in the germ that leads to resistively. Colloidal silver also does not cause yeast overgrowth like thrush or vaginal candida. It won't destroy the 'good' bacteria in your digestive system like antibiotics do, and it doesn't cause 'antibiotic fog', that spaciness or inability to think and concentrate afflicting many people after they take prescription drugs. One thing I must mention, because it was prominently featured in the news recently. There was a man who turned blue after taking colloidal silver. What was not included in the new report is that this gentleman was drinking a gallon or more a day, and had done so for quite a long time. DUH! In more than 40 years of practice, not one of my patients turned blue. Give us a break. | ||
